Imagine, if you will, your 14 year old child is sitting down after a long day of schoolwork and chores to relieve some stress and check their favorite websites out for the day. As they are sitting there logging into their favorite social network, they have a message from a user on the website that informs them they just had the luckiest day of their life -- they won a free iphone! Your14 year old clicks on this free download, follows the instructions to install it, and then NOTHING HAPPENS! Oh well, your child says must have been a joke! So your child continues clicking, emailing, and surfing away.

Three hours later, your child still sits in their room surfing away.. all thought about the bogus offer of the 'free' iphone gone. During your child's websurfing, they notice a small window down on their taskbar, which notifies them of an incoming message. Your child clicks to maximize the window, and sees

Sweetie79601: Hi!

Wow your child thinks.. they're not in my friends list, but maybe they're someone from school, or a friend of a friend... well who really cares! I'm gonna talk to them. Another hour later, your child notices that they didnt even have a messenger program open. Who have they been talking to? How did these messages start? What did I just tell this person whom I dont know? Scary isnt it?
