This is actually the simplest of all the steps and the most important. You need to take a measuring tape and measure from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. Then you also need to measure from the top of his head to the bottom of his paw. This will give you an approximate length and width. The next step is to sit and wait. This isn’t a joke! While you sit and wait you need to be observant. You need to watch him and pay attention to how and where he sleeps. This will give you a good idea to what type of bed you need to get.<br /><br />With this information at hand you can take him to the store with you and find the right bed. The measurements were for buying the appropriate sized beds but the observations were for something a bit different. To buy the right bed you need to know how he sleeps. For example, if he sleeps on his back then you need to buy a bed that can support his spine and give him enough comfort that he may feel reenergized in the morning.
